Before compiling my DC vs LSG betting tips, I returned to the highlights of the first match between these two earlier in the campaign to give me a flavour of what to expect.
The significance didn’t at the time, but DC’s failure to score more than 150 runs despite only losing three of their wickets now feels like a turning point in their season.
Since then, they have been scoring freely – the following match they hammered 217 runs, and have won three of their past five games.
The Lucknow Super Giants were dominant in their most recent victory over the Punjab Kings – batting patiently to overcome difficult periods and post 153/8, before defending it with ease thanks to a sensational performance from Krunal Pandya.
Ahead of the match, which gets underway at 3.30 pm (IST) on Sunday 31st May at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, I’ve been looking at the IPL betting tips.
LSG vs DC Betting Odds
It’s a toss-up between these two – but my DC vs LSG betting suggestion is for the LSG to come out on top.
I like the look of the LSG bowling attack, and I think they will overwhelm the DC batters. Check out the odds and all of my DC vs LSG betting tips and cricket predictions in my full preview below:

There is a good-looking trend to the Delhi Capitals’ recent performances, which is translating into positive results.
The win over the Kolkata Knight Riders displayed the depth in their squad – Rovman Powell (33 not out from 16 balls) once more stepping up to ensure a comfortable four-wicket win for his side.
They are bang there with a shot for the playoffs – and there are some viewers that think they could be outside bets to lift the trophy. You can back them at 10.0 with Betway.
Team News
Anrich Nortje has been given the all-clear after a serious injury concern – franchise fans can expect to see the South African play some part in the campaign’s run-in.
There are no new injury concerns for team management to worry about – I expect it to be an unchanged line-up.
DC’s Likely XI
David Warner, Privthi Shaw, Mitchell Marsh, Rishabh Pant, Rovman Powell, Lalit Yadav, Axar Patel, Shardul Thakur, Andre Nortje, Kuldeep Yadav, Mustafizur Rahman

Playoff clinching – but they’re not there yet!
The Capitals certainly represent a banana skin for KL Rahul and his men! A win here would take them to 14 points – last year, that was enough to secure a playoff spot, though 16 points is more likely to get them over the line.
Secure the points and I am backing the Lucknow Super Giants to go into contention to finish top of the regular season points table.
Team News
There are no fresh injury worries for team management, which will want to retain the recent form of their side.
I can see it being an unchanged line-up from their win over the KKR.
Player to Watch: Dushmantha Chameera
The pacey Sri Lankan is developing well with his national team, and we’re starting to see his potential come to fruition in the IPL too.
He was quick and accurate in a devastating spell against the PBKS, which included the wicket of Jonny Bairstow – the last remaining batter that could have caused them problems in defending such a low total. His final figures read 2/17 from four overs.
Keep an eye on how he fares against the Capitals.
LSG’s Likely XI
KL Rahul, Quinton de Kock, Manish Pandey, Marcus Stoinis, Deepak Hooda, Ayush Badoni, Krunal Pandya, Jason Holder, Dushmantha Chameera, Ravi Bishnoi, Avesh Khan.
Venue & conditions
The action takes place at the Wankhede Stadium – the last two results here have favoured the team chasing, but the average first innings score here is 169.72.
Will the winning toss captain follow the trend of bowling first?
The weather is set to be hot and humid – the fact it’s a day game could make it a gruelling affair for LSG’s players, who have had a quick turnaround following the result on Friday.
